ALEH – The Association for the Elderly in Rehovot
ALEH is a local association for the elderly in the city of Rehovot. It established in 1982 at the initiative of JDC- ESHEL, jointly with the Ministry of Social Affairs and Social Services, Ministry of Health, and the Municipality of Rehovot with active senior citizen volunteers.
ALEH is a non-profit organization.
The purpose of the association is to improve the quality of life of seniors in the city (about 20,000), by establishment, development and operation of services, through activities of volunteers (about 300) and by administrative and professional stuff (about 400, including more than three hundreds of caregivers).
