Manor-Cabri, Amuta

Manor-Cabri, Amuta, located in the heart of the Western Galilee just five miles from the border with Lebanon, is an educational institution for youth 13-18 years old, which combines studies in the arts, sciences and humanities. Manor-Cabri staff is concerned with producing educational innovation, engaging students in critical thinking, and strengthening students’ commitment to justice, equality, good citizenship and community involvement. Manor Cabri was established as a non-profit organization in 1998 and operates in two campuses: the junior high school in Kibbutz Eilon (evacuated since October 7, 2023, due to its proximity to the border) and the high school in Kibbutz Cabri. The school serves 700 students from around the Northern periphery region. It hosts a diverse student body population from kibbutzim, moshavim, villages, development towns, residential communities and cities all over the Western Galilee. Our projects include: • ACHERET - The Arab-Jewish Regional Center for Excellence in Physics Research, which now includes also a teacher training seminar in cooperation with Oranim College of Education. • Mitzraf – a training program for school staffs and school principals looking to implement meaningful, research-based learning. • Stage Design Department for students with learning disabilities to achieve a matriculation certificate – an initiative of Manor-Cabri staff recognized by the Ministry of Education for matriculation credit. • Social & Economic Justice Seminar, resulting in 40% of graduates volunteering for a civil service year ("Shnat Sherut") before the army • Jewish Identity program, enriching students’ knowledge about Judaism and the different segments in the Israeli society. • Human rights and democracy educational programs • Holocaust Commemoration program including a journey to Poland
