ADAMA TOVA CENTER SUPPORTING SURVIVORS AND FAMILIES OF VICTIMS FROM THE OCTOBER 7

Donors: 24

In the wake of the October 7th terror attack, those who are directly affected are in desperate need of support. Adama Tova is a safe haven providing therapeutic help and solace supporting a healing process. At our space, survivors, their loved ones, and grieving families can find a listening ear, emotional support, and activities that aid their path to recovery. Who We Are Adama Tova is a grassroots, volunteer-driven initiative founded in October 2023 with an urgent need for mental support following the horrific events. Our space provides a therapeutic community for the survivors and their loved ones, addressing the profound trauma, the lingering fear and uncertainty, the loss, and the shattered sense of community. Yiftach Shachar and Einat Chaimovitz founded the Adama Tova space on the farm where they live in Central Israel’s Sitriya. Liron Davidovich joined them, and together they built and developed the space and its activities. Einat is a clinical social worker and therapist with years of experience treating trauma, and Liron is a movement and couples/family therapist. Our Mission At Adama Tova, survivors find a compassionate space to share their pain, receive support, and connect with others who understand. We offer tools and resources to help them cope, find renewed strength, and rebuild their lives. The sense of community and shared experience is vital for healing and reintegration into life after such profound trauma. Without Adama Tova, many would face their pain alone, without hope for a brighter future. What We Do The Adama Tova community counts over 400 active participants. Our space operates 3 days a week, offering a variety of supportive activities for free. Our committed team consists of 10-14 volunteers, including trained professionals and compassionate individuals. At our space, we welcome, support, and guide those who arrive to seek solace, and we also facilitate specialized therapeutic and support groups for parents, siblings, and survivors. Our workshops include also creative arts, mindfulness, breathwork, ice work, music, psychodrama, and more. We have an open studio for creative expression, body treatments, nourishing meals, quiet spaces for conversation, and rotating performances and lectures.
