The Sagi Laws for Equality
By The Aguda – The Association for LGBTQ+ Equality in Israel
It's time for Equality in life, Not just in death.
Donors: 3
On October 7th, Major Sagi Golan rushed to the front lines to defend the country in the Battle of Be'eri, tragically falling in battle just one week before he was set to marry his partner, Omer Ohana. Emerging from deep personal grief and the painful reality of discrimination against LGBTQ+ couples, Omer chose to channel his pain into social change. Together with The Aguda, he led a historic amendment to the Military Bereavement Law, ensuring same-sex partners of fallen soldiers are finally recognized with equal rights.
Equality in death has been achieved, but we will not stop until there is equality in life.
Today, we are leading the Israeli LGBTQ+ community's major election campaign built around "The Sagi Laws for Equality" - a historic legislative package of 10 critical bills designed to guarantee safety, equality, and full rights for every LGBTQ+ individual in Israel. To turn these laws into reality, we need you with us.
Your donation to the campaign will directly fund our continued struggle, put equality at the top of the political agenda in the upcoming elections, and secure a safer, more equal society for us all.
Support the campaign now and be a partner in this historic change.
