Bshvil Hamachar

Bshvil Hamachar (On the Path to Tomorrow) is a non-profit, volunteer-based organization established after the Second Lebanon War in 2009 to assist former Israel Defense Forces combat soldiers cope with difficult combat memories and adapt back to civilian life in a healthy way utilizing group outdoor activities, trekking and other physical activities in nature, combined with psychotherapeutic tools. Even when young men and women go back home, they are often mentally ‘stuck’ on the battlefield. Bshvil Hamachar, though its program, enables former combat soldiers to build resilience through the power and calm of nature, and the support of the group.
