נותנים תקווה וכוח למשפחה - (עובדי מובילאי)

Following the Shabbat morning prayers, Parshat Bahar Bechukotai, on his way from helping a needy neighbour and on his way to a Torah lecture, Rabbi Yehoshua David Yassou Dejan זצ"ל suddenly collapsed and passed away. Rabbi Yasso learnt and later taught in Machon Meir in Kiryat Moshe, Jerusalem. He was on his way to becoming one of the leaders of the Ethiopian community, being a pillar of the 'Meirim at Beta Israel' program at Machon Meir, for training rabbis and leaders for the Ethiopian community. He studied and taught at Machon Meir for about 15 years, passing over the importance of Eretz Yisrael, faith and halacha to the young students. He emphasized the importance in the connection between the Ethiopian community and Israeli society. His great determination to grow into a leader enabled him to participate in a full time study program and also working part-time in order to support his growing family, But now with his sudden unexpected departure, his wife Shathai' and their three young daughters are left with no economic support. In Rabbi Yassou’s absence, who is going to give his shocked widow and their three girls, the support to continue their education and guidance to follow in his path. With your help to join this campaign we will all be able to give the family the base to continue Rabbi Yassou’s dream, and to give his family the support they so desperately need. With the blessings of Rabbi Dov Bigon, the Rabbis and blessings of the Machon and all its students.
