No Soldier Left Behind

A safe space and a therapeutic community for PTSD war veterans
Donors: 1477
We all have a friend, sibling, or acquaintance grappling with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
due to their military service. This person near our heart recoils from any unexpected sound and
crowded places, and often barricades themselves in their home for prolonged periods in terrible
solitude.
There are many others we don’t know. In addition to daily suffering, they struggle with a challenging
and complex emotional process for official recognition of their invisible wounds. For these siblings,
children, and friends, the "No Soldier Left Behind" association was established.
The association has an 'open door' policy, allowing anyone dealing with military-related PTSD to
receive support and treatment to reintegrate back into the demands of daily life. The association
operates a therapeutic and rehabilitative community based on a personal and customized program
according to individual needs. Treatments include a safe space, peer groups, therapeutic workshops,
therapy groups, and daily social interaction.
We stand ready to support them.
Without needing to be formally recognized by the Ministry of Defense, free of cost, without time
limits, and without bureaucratic red tape. We are here first and foremost to provide treatment, a
home, a social network, and a true community.
Three years ago, we launched a crowdfunding campaign for building a "safe space" for community
members and their families. Thanks to your partnership, we managed to create an amazing home
for our community near the Gaza Strip. The location serves as a therapeutic center for all community
members and their families, offering a variety of advanced and empowering treatments and
activities such as therapeutic gardening, trauma-sensitive yoga, treatments in Chinese medicine, and
of course, a professional and talented team of therapists to treat military service-related PTSD.
With the increasing demand for the association's services, we established another branch in the
center of the country, in Kibbutz Shiller, adjacent to the city of Rehovot.
Recently, due to rising awareness of the issue, we have been inundated with many requests for help
and assistance. To expand our operations and allow more individuals struggling with PTSD and their
families to receive the aid and support they deserve, we are launching a new crowdfunding
campaign.
The distress experienced by these soldiers exists beyond the formal therapy hours, and we are there
at all times and for everyone! It is our national duty to enable combat veterans to reintegrate into
daily civilian life. Only together can we make a difference.
We don’t leave soldiers behind.
