Orot Healing Retreat

100+ survivors of the October 7th what war Festival will attend a weeklong healing retreat in Southern California filled with quiet, meditation, yoga, nature, trauma therapists, therapy animals, music, movement, healthy food, music with Koolulam, and connection with one another - to include a Shabbaton weekend with 50 Hebrew speaking Americans of similar ages and interests. At Orot they will have the opportunity to simply breathe. They will have the chance to process or share their experiences should they be ready. Orot will provide the opportunity for survivors to find their strength surrounded by light and love. About Tikvah UMarpehPrior to October 7, 2023, the mission of the Israeli nonprofit Tikva UMarpeh was to care for children with health issues with an emphasis on socio-emotional healing. Post-October 7th, the organization quickly pivoted to expand their mission to support victims of trauma. Tikva UMarpeh now serves as Orot-Healing Retreat’s fiscal sponsor so that donations from the US will be tax deductible. All donations can be directed to “Tikvah UMarpeh - Orot Healing”.
