Avichai Farm - named after Brigadier General Rabbi Avichai Rontzki
The Avichai Farm was established about 4 months ago with the aim of protecting state land in Nahal Shilo in western Samaria.
Adi and Eitan Melet, together with 3 daughters - Aloma (10), Gefen (7), Beer (3) – live on Avichai Farm. Before moving to the farm, Eitan was employed as a Field Coordinator, tasked with monitoring and reporting on the theft of state land in Judea and Samaria. Eitan is a commander an elite IDF Paratroopers Unit. Adi works at the Society for the Protection of Nature, where she heads the Training Division.
“We decided to take personal responsibility, to be a part of the most vital national mission facing Zionism today. We left our comfortable home and “normal” life in order to protect the Land of Israel for the Jewish people.”
“It's not an easy task. This mission is very challenging 24/7: During the day we go out to pasture with the cows and at night we stand guard so that the Arabs don't steal and damage the farm,” says Eitan.
The Nahal Shiloh area has over 10,000 dunams of state land that until now were left unprotected, at the mercy of Arabs and Bedouin who did with it as they pleased. Amichai Farm’s pastures lie between Samaria and Rosh Ha'Ayin and are bordered by Nahal Shilo to the west.
The farm currently has 40 cows that are grazed 12 hours a day with the help of volunteers, and their constant presence is changing the reality on the ground. “The place where the Jewish plow will pass, that is where our border will be established,” Melet quotes Josef Trumpeldor. “This is not just a slogan, but a course of action that produces change. There is still Zionism in 2023, and the task of settling the land is not over!”
“We took this task upon ourselves and moved - to live in a tent and a truck, in the open, without normal electricity and a normalized water supply, in order to change reality on the ground. We need your support. This is a Zionist mission, a mission we are carrying out on behalf of the People of Israel; without you we will not be able to fulfill it.”
Recruitment goals:
1. To strengthen the protection of state lands.
2. Renovation of a residence for volunteers.
3. Hot meals for soldiers.
4. Financial assistance to individual soldiers volunteering on the farm.
5. Meetings for volunteers at the farm.
6. Strengthening agriculture and grazing.
Any donation received in dollars will be designated for sections 2 and 5 only.
