Supplies to IDF troops fighting for us in Gaza

Three months of fighting in extremely difficult, extremely harsh conditions. For almost 100 days our soldiers have been fighting in Gaza for all of us – and we need to help them because their needs are real. It is winter and bitterly cold. Most soldiers have not been provided with the necessary warm clothing, and are not being fed nutritionally adequate diets during their time on active duty. Over the last few couple of months we have worked to provide an uninterrupted supply of items – mostly food and clothing – to fulfill the requests coming from Sergeant Majors serving in the Commando Units placed deep in Gaza territory. By now we have a clear understanding of what our soldier's essential needs are – and what is needed on a weekly basis. These basics, that soldiers carry inside flak jackets, include: tuna fish salads, Cabanos (dried out meat), personal bags of walnuts and dates, as well as energy and protein bars. In addition to these food items, we routinely send tremendous amounts of wipes (in place of showers) and basic garments such as socks, underwear, undershirts and thermal leggings for changing (as it impossible to wash clothing in Gaza). Of course this list could be much larger. But, the experience over 3 months has taught us which items to focus on most. When we started this campaign, we were able self-fund the goods we provided to our fighters. However, as more and more units found out about our activity they asked us if we could help them too. Of course! We do want to help them, but we are no longer able to manage the weekly purchase. So, now we are calling on all our friends… and on our friends’ friends to give us a helping hand to raise the necessary funds so that we reach as many soldiers as possible with our aid on a weekly basis. The goods will be delivered directly to the soldiers and their battalions on the front line. It will provide them with unmet human basics – the necessary minimum of caloric energy and clothing to keep them warm – while they keep on fighting for us all… For this we thank you, and we thank you on their behalf. The donation page provides the option to give on a consistent monthly basis, which is what is needed at the point, in order to most efficiently budget what we can purchase and supply. We purchase these items at wholsale prices and sometimes even at cost of production price. Of course all of the work involved, such as packing, storing and delivering is conducted by volunteers.
