Fundraising for "Giller's Farm" Netiv HaAsara

On the morning of Saturday, October 7, 2023, our nation was confronted with horrific images and news. Under a steady barrage of rockets, Hamas terrorists had infiltrated our southern communities, kidnapping and murdering hundreds of innocent civilians. Among those affected was our family, the Giller family – Naama, Eyal, Gili (21), Roni (17), Talya (15), and Dan (7). We own Giller's Farm in  Netiv Hatara, a moshav in southern Israel, located at the northern border with the Gaza Strip Five years ago, our family embarked on a life-changing adventure driven by our deep love for our country and the Zionist vision. Saying goodbye to our comfortable jobs in the hitech world, Eyal and I uprooted our family to establish "Giller's Farm", a place where we cultivate vegetables and seeds, nurture sheep and goats, and craft delicious goat cheeses. We also opened a visitor center to support our local community and promote tourism in our region. Our visitor center has been a hub of activity, hosting cheese-making workshops and tours for visitors who come to experience the beauty of the Negev. On October 7th, we had planned to open our doors to celebrate Simchat Torah with hundreds of families. However, in the early hours of the morning we found ourselves under unprecedented rocket attack and Hamas terrorists in our garden . Amidst the chaos and devastation, we were fortunate to escape while, Eyal remaining behind to care for our sheep and goats. Our life's work is now in ruins, our hearts shattered, and the place we once called home is no more. For years, we have been accustomed to offering support and giving to others, but the current dire circumstances have left us humbly seeking your assistance. Due to the relentless bombings and fires set by Hamas, we have tragically lost everything –from basics like buckets and fertilizers to our entire crop yield and valuable equipment, our fields dried up. This includes the destruction of our seed cultivation facilities, where we were key suppliers for numerous large companies. The future of our farm, once full of promise, now appears uncertain, and we face mounting obligations with no clear path to reopening. Your support at this critical juncture would provide a glimmer of hope in our darkest hour as we navigate the unknown and work to rebuild our lives. Your contribution, no matter the size, would be a lifeline for our family and will make a tremendous difference in our ability to recover from this tragedy and start rebuilding our home, our lives and our community.
