Mitzpe Hila - keeping our home safe

Mitzpe Hilla is a small rural community of 160 families, located 6 kilometers (3.75 miles) from the Israel-Lebanon border. Following the horrific attack by Hamas terrorists on October 7th and the escalation of hostile attacks from Hezbollah in Lebanon, life as we knew stopped at once: no schools, many businesses are closed, men and women have been called to the army reserved forces. The people remaining at our village immediately enrolled into emergency squads: medical, armed patrols, war-room, firefighting and a social support team who also operates educational activities for the young children. What do we need? Equipment for for our emergency squad. First aid equipment for our medical team. Firefighting suits and gear for our firefighting volunteers. Educational and recreational materials for our kindergarten and elementary school children, since schools are not fully operational in our area. Can you help us face the challenges?
