At this war, nobody stays alone!

Difficult days are passing over all of us. The war imposed upon us has brought many challenges and, among other things, led to a social emergency situation. Entire communities have been displaced, and hundreds of thousands of children have been absorbed into unfamiliar and new cities.
Alongside the warm embrace received by displaced children in new cities and frameworks, we witness cases of social distress among children who do not find themselves in their new environment. Children who have experienced social difficulties in the past are at risk of experiencing the effects of social violence.
For them, we are here. Before the war, we established a first-of-its-kind dedicated center in collaboration with the municipality of Jerusalem, providing assistance to parents and children in emergency situations, difficulties, and social impact. The center provides a response through a team of specialists who have undergone specific training to deal with such cases.
In the aftermath of the war, the organization, which deals with preventing ostracism in the battles of youth and children, decided to leverage its knowledge and tools for the strengthening of the resilience of local communities and displaced communities. This is all in an effort to deepen coping with the phenomenon, especially among children and youth affected by it during the war. The decision was made to expand the center's activities and turn it into a national center that responds to families from the displaced community and, generally, throughout the country.
The center operates in five-day shifts and is staffed by 15 volunteers who have specialized in the field. Depending on the inquiries received, it provides a one-time or ongoing, anonymous or open response. The center offers a unique model of "wise intervention," where the center mediates between the seeker and various welfare departments, schools, psychological services, and more, through a network of volunteers known as "Wings of Freedom ambassadors" residing throughout the country and undergoing significant training.
The war period exacerbates the struggles of children and youth, including power struggles and manifestations of war-related trauma. Children who refuse to go to school, expulsions from WhatsApp groups, reports of loneliness, social distress, and ostracism.
We need you. The costs of the center are high - center operation, professional staff, volunteer training and support, marketing and accessibility, and operations amount to a total of 650,000 NIS.
Thanks to your support, we have prevented hundreds of cases of ostracism and exclusion in 2023. In 2024, with the challenges of the war and displaced communities, we stand at the threshold, determined to help hundreds of new cases of children suffering from ostracism, exclusion, and social violence in displaced communities and beyond. We need you for this! Donate today to the Wings of Freedom organization and help us save children from prolonged suffering and distress caused by social violence, ostracism, and exclusion. Help us reach every child in need. Your donation will create a real change in the souls of children in their most difficult moments. "He who saves one soul is as if he saved an entire world."
