Renewing the activity of Moadon Shaked, Hoshaya In the coming days, Hoshaya will be celebrating 41 years since its founding. We, the residents of Hoshaya, would like to mark the occasion with a gift to the community that emphasizes our mutual responsibility: Renewing and ensuring the continued activity of Moadon Shaked- providing a framework to answer the unique needs of Hoshaya’s special sons and daughters. We intend to recruit skilled, professional staff that will ensure that Moadon Shaked will,as in the past, provide the Moadon's participants with the best possible answer to their needs. Although the operation of Moadon Shaked today faces real difficulties, this is an important mission for our community. We ask for your help and cooperation in running a supportive, after-school framework for community members with special needs so that all members of our community will be taken care of. Moadon Shaked was established about 15 years ago as a place where members of the community with special needs could come and meet with volunteers their own age, and with their help take part in activities that were uplifting and of benefit to all. Over the years, the young volunteers grew up, matured, and went on to pursue their life’s path outside Hoshaya. The official state institutions do not consider Moadon Shaked  eligible for a subsidy, and the burden of operating the Moadon falls exclusively on the parents. Your donation will enable us to continue the Moadon’s activities, which represent far more than just a physical meeting place. The Moadon’s activity provides our community with resilience and meaning and our special sons and daughters with light and joy. To operate Moadon Shaked with a team of professionals, reinforced by local volunteers, will require NIS 350,000 per year. This will cover payment to professional staff and ongoing expenses.
