Karen and Saville's Wedding

While we are celebrating our wedding, we cannot help thinking of the hostages, those lost in the war and those who have sustained life changing injuries. We have chosen to support Metiv: The Israel Psychotrauma Center because of the amazing work they do helping soldiers and their families traumatised by war. With expertise gained over 30 years of treating trauma in Israel, Metiv has a unique role in the country’s response to the horrific attacks of October 7 and subsequent war. Through programmes like "Peace of Mind" for veterans, "Let's Make Room for Play" for preschoolers, group and individual therapy for survivors, and an intensive course in the basics of trauma treatment for mental-health professionals, Metiv provides quality services to communities and individuals before, during, and after trauma. Metiv's researchers test breakthrough treatment methods and develop evidence for the effectiveness of different approaches to dealing with trauma.  The effect this has had on the people of Israel is immense and something very dear to our hearts.
