Maayan (Spring) Shai

We, members of the Shapira community, who had the privilege of growing alongside Shai (may his memory be a blessing), are embarking on a commemorative project to establish a spring in his memory. Shai symbolizes for us the power of quiet perseverance. Like water carving through rock, Shai, in his unique way, found his path to many hearts with infinite humility. We miss him greatly. In memory of his courage and humility, In memory of his quiet smile, In memory of his unique character from which we learned about love for the people and the land. Let us join together to establish a project that will etch his memory in stone forever. A spring where people will come to connect with nature and simplicity and learn a little about the character of Shai whom we loved so much.
