camp Eyal Kiryat Shmoneh

מנהEyal was founded in memory of Eyal Krauss - a 7-year-old from the Kiryat Shmoneh Bnei Akiva branch who was tragically killed in a car accident 7 and a half years ago. In an effort to memorialize Eyal, his older sister Ori decided that the most natural and appropriate way to do so was to make an impactful contribution to the community. With that thought in mind came the inspiration for Camp Eyal. Camp Eyal is a 4-day respite camp that takes place over the course of the summer break. The camp is organized by the youth of the Kiryat Shmoneh Bnei Akiva branch and is based out of the Talpiot Children's House in Hadera. The summer camp aims to create a personal relationship and connection between the children and the Bnei Akiva youth branch and the residents of the Children's home. These relationships create a bond which gives the youth at the Children's home a kind of "Big Brother" who they view as both friends and role models in their challenging adolescent years.
