Adi Babani - WE FIGHT FOR OUR SOLDIERS SUCCESS

Every year, more than 5,000 soldiers who grew up in a disadvantaged environment, return upon their release from the army to the same challenging and complex reality from which they came from. In order to deal with this reality in an optimal way, they need a supportive framework and to meet with positive  figures who will help them continue the new path they started in the army. Amit Laderech was established to give soldiers and veterans the tools and support their needs, to overcome challenges and build a better life. The young people in the program receive a Mentor (volunteer) who accompanies them all along the way, a support group, scholarships and networking that will serve them further along the way. The association is led by a board of directors that includes former senior IDF commanders, including Amram Metzna (res. colonel), Hagi Topolansky (res. colonel, chairman of the association), and more. The association operates on a wide national scale with young people from the all over Israel - center and periphery, religious and secular, Druze and Jews through three programs:  (1) The classic mentoring program - accompanying veterans for the purpose of forming an ideal image of the future and a positive integration into society.  (2) Startline - a program to integrate young people into the high-tech industry through professional training and a supporting envelope  (3) A  long-term mentoring program - for soldiers coming from high risk situations with the aim of helping them integrate into the military framework and upon release.
