Jeremy’s Circle: The Childhood They Deserve

Childhood should be a world of dreams, laughter, and boundless energy. Yet, for the children of Jeremy's Circle, coping with cancer or cancer loss in their families, their worlds are marked by uncertainty, fear, and isolation. Since October 7th, that uncertainty and fear have multiplied.  You may know someone like Mika. Mika is 11 and loves dancing and art projects.  But Mika’s dad has cancer and her parents are often at the hospital while she is home with her younger brother. Even when home, her dad doesn’t feel well, and her mom is distracted. Her favorite uncle has been in and out of reserve duty for months. There’s no one to take her to dance or art classes. Not to mention help process her complicated feelings.  If you know someone like Mika, you know that sometimes, Mika just wants to be a carefree kid, even for a few hours.    That's where you come in.  Jeremy's Circle is not just a charity; it's a lifeline.  Our mission is simple yet profound: to unite them in moments of laughter, togetherness, and respite, reminding them they are not alone in their struggle against cancer at home and the war outside.  Named and inspired by Jeremy Coleman, who as a dad with 3 small children, facing terminal cancer, was grateful to his circle who rallied to help his kids enjoy normalcy and fun when he was in treatment. He died in 2008, and today, Jeremy’s Circle has grown to help sustain over 1000 families coping with cancer or loss nationwide.   She can grab her childhood back... at least for an afternoon.  When you donate, you make it possible for children like Mika to just be kids. She will go to fun events and meet kids who understand what she’s going through.  Imagine Mika exploring the ancient, fanciful mosaic floors at the Tzipori National Park, together with other Jeremy’s Circle kids, and then creating an intricate mosaic to display at home. The boys and girls of Jeremy’s Circle demonstrate to each other that they all can cope with their  stress, worry and fear. They can let loose. They can have fun. They can be kids.
