Help Us Save Shalev!

When Shalev was only 6 months old, he was diagnosed with spinal muscular atrophy (SMA), a serious nerve disease. At the time, there was no treatment, but Shalev is a fighter and managed to beat the odds and survive. Today, Shalev is undergoing advanced treatment that can dramatically improve his quality of life, as it has for many others. Shalev needs 6 injections, each of which costs 125,000 dollars, for a total of 3 million NIS. The goal of this campaign is to raise enough money for 2 of the 6 injections. The medication is not covered by insurance, and for Shalev's parents, who devote all of their time to him, it is an impossible amount to cover. Most of us couldn't raise this money alone, either. Despite the high costs, we have faith that the love and generosity of the Jewish people will be enough to raise the money needed to save Shalev's life.
