Connecting to Tishrei Holidays with Machanaim Books"

Strengthening the Jewish Connection – Distribution of Machanaim Tishrei Holidays set of prayer books and booklets in Russian for new Russian speaking immigrants The Tishrei holidays are just around the corner, and we've got something special for our Russian-speaking community. Whether you're a newcomer to Israel or have been here for years, we know it can be tough to follow along in synagogue or feel connected to the holiday traditions. That's where Machanaim comes in. We're all about helping Russian speakers feel at home in the Jewish world, and this year, we're stepping up our game. We've put together a handy set of books that'll make the holidays a whole lot easier to navigate. What does the set include? • Three Machanaim prayer books for Yom Kippur, Rosh Hashanah, and Sukkot. Each prayer book contains the full prayer text in Hebrew with Russian translation and transliteration. In addition, the prayer book includes clear explanations about the course of the prayer and its meaning. • A booklet for the Tishrei holidays with explanations about the meaning of the holidays in Jewish tradition and about holiday customs. • An illustrated booklet about Sukkot and Simchat Torah in Russian. • A booklet with the text of the Grace After Meals translated into Russian and additional blessings for the peace of the state and the soldiers. The number of immigrants who will be able to enjoy the Machanaim set for the Tishrei holidays depends on your support. Every support increases the number of immigrants who will benefit from the project!! Our goal is to distribute the set to about 200 immigrant families and Russian speakers who will be able to enter synagogue prayers with confidence this year, connect, and feel a sense of belonging to the Jewish world and the State of Israel. The cost of each set is $140. Help us succeed.
