Bayit Al HaYam

Bayit Al HaYam combines the powers of the sea and the community to heal, rehabilitate, and build resilience among at-risk youth, people with special needs, families displaced from their homes and those deeply impacted by the war. Using accessible surfing and sailing, we form truly life changing experiences in the lives of our communities and provide a safe space to recover, believe and hope again.  Following October 7th, we formed "Safe Harbor" - a marine therapy program designed to address the trauma of those most affected by the war. We established an immediate response center in Eilat, providing a Safe Harbor and refuge for over 1,500 children, teens and adults. Realizing our goal of remaining by our communities in the long process of rebuilding their lives, and expanding our activity to include and build resilience especially among the citizens of Southern Israel, we established a permanent marine center in Ashkelon.  We continue to build, empower and accompany Special Communities for families with children with special needs across the country, making the sea accessible and providing a supporting and equal place for all.  We are fully determined to continue our mission of rehabilitating and strengthening our communities and having a tremendous impact on their lives, and are fundraising in order to secure the sufficient funds.  Every donation pushes us forwards towards our goal of being a Safe Harbor and a warm and welcoming community for hundreds of people suffering from trauma, and families with children with special needs.
