"Through Their Eyes" - The Story of a Kfar Aza The exhibition will take place at the cultural hall of Kibbutz Shefayim and will be open to the public (by prior registration) for three days. Its primary aim is to commemorate and share the story of Kfar Aza from the perspective of the community itself. ‏In the exhibition, we will recount the events of that tragic day: the story of the standby unit, the victims, the abductees, the WhatsApp messages, the destroyed homes, the soldiers, the broadcasts aired on various channels, and the art that was born out of pain. For three months, members of the community and other volunteers have been tirelessly gathering and organizing materials in a process that brings back the pain, time and again, with immense force. ‏It is important for us to convey through this exhibition that this is our story, a deeply personal narrative of loss and devastation. We hope that the visitors to the exhibition will grasp the magnitude of the cruelty, the catastrophe, the abandonment, and the desolation we endured. This exhibition embodies our desire to preserve the memory and give it meaning for future generations, as a people passing its memories from one generation to the next. ‏We want to tell, again and again, how our people were massacred. We want to tell, again and again, how we chose to rise from the ruins. We hope that this exhibition will serve as a crucial testimony and documentation for the future. Curator: Yamit Newman
