"Tal's Garden" at the Warm Corner in Neve Tzuf

I met Tal Grushka, who was the company commander of Nahal, when I started volunteering at the Warm Corner in Neve Tzuf. His company served in the Neve Tzuf area for six months and the relationship between us was very special. I was impressed by his character, the way he led the company, and his attitude and concern for his soldiers. He had the perfect balance of humility and great leadership. The salt of the earth - that's exactly what he was. I wrote the following words to Tal when his company left our area: "Good morning, dear Tal,
I feel very privileged to have met your lovely company and to have met you. You are a role model to your soldiers, a person that the soldiers really admire and respect.
Thank you so much for succeeding to instill a sense of security and peace in me and the residents of the yishuv throughout the time that you were here.
I got to meet your soldiers, each of whom is incredibly dedicated. They were always smiling, and always had a kind word to share. Everyone is aware of their important role here and everyone carried out their role in the best way possible!
So if I managed to sweeten a few moments for you all during your time here – I consider that a success!!" On October 7, Tal did not hesitate for a moment and immediately went to the south to defend our country. Tal fought bravely against dozens of terrorists, and was killed in battle. In collaboration with Yashar LaChayal, we wish to commemorate Tal's memory by expanding the Warm Corner and creating a garden in his memory, Tal’s Garden. Please help us commemorate Tal, an amazing commander who managed to touch us all and whose legacy is to be the best person you can be. May his memory be a blessing 🙏 Tali Edry Neve Tzuf Warm Corner volunteer
