"Chibuk Meha'am"

Every soldier needs a hug from home – someone to tell them how proud and loved they are. Every exhausted soldier needs a reminder of why they do what they do, someone to remind them that they are a champion and a hero. But there are soldiers who have left the ultra-Orthodox community, and most of them don’t have that embrace. They don’t have a father sending motivational messages, or a mother making them food packages and waiting at home with a warm hug. The "Chibuk Meha'am" initiative is designed to support those soldiers who left the ultra-Orthodox community and chose to serve the country, despite all the challenges and without the much-needed family support. The initiative aims to fill that void – to give soldiers a sense of belonging, love, and warmth from the entire people of Israel. Through thoughtful packages, encouraging letters, and workshops that provide them with tools for success in civilian life, we remind them that they are not alone. How can you help? Your donation will help us provide soldiers who left the ultra-Orthodox community with the hug they so desperately need. Every donation will assist in purchasing a care package and in supporting the well-being of these lone soldiers. *All donations are tax deductible  What does our activity include? • Holiday Packages (Rosh Hashanah and Passover): Twice a year, the soldiers receive a holiday package filled with pampering items. • "Mazal Shenoladta" Birthday Box: Once a year, soldiers receive a personal birthday gift. • "Proud of You" Box: Given to soldiers who have completed training or a military course, expressing appreciation for their dedication and sacrifice. • "Released" Box: A package for soldiers who are finishing their military service, including practical gifts and a supportive letter that accompanies them at the start of their civilian journey. • "Medal from the Nation" Box: A unique package awarded to soldiers who have demonstrated extraordinary courage during their service. Who are we? We are Golid and Yehuda, siblings who left the ultra-Orthodox community. Yehuda is a company commander in the Golani Brigade, and I, Golid, have been involved for years in social activities for those who have left the ultra-Orthodox community. We work in collaboration with the Maggie Fund, which supports lone soldiers. Join us in embracing these brave soldiers for their courage and choice to defend the country. Together, we will give them the warm and meaningful hug they so greatly need.
