THE WORKSHOP

The magnificent story of “THE WORKSHOP” Who we are Somewhere in the Upper Galilee… The Workshop is the brainchild of two born and raised local northern men who saw an urgent need and decided to take action With great volunteer spirit we set up The Workshop in October 2023 as the events unfolded and they began to grasp not only the enormity of the situation but also the inconsistent and often inadequate supply of life saving kit available to our friends in the Emergency civilian task forces. What we do The Workshop is manned largely by volunteers who tailor-make bespoke protecting gear for any civilian first responders’ teams in need, with a focus in the North. Many of our volunteers come from disadvantaged backgrounds, are elderly or less able, and would otherwise feel isolated and unable to contribute to the war effort. The Workshop has created a community hub with a warm environment where volunteers can upskill and where volunteers have a place to come where they feel cared for and part of a family. Since October last year, The Workshop has supplied thousands of members on civil squads with necessary equipment and paramedical kit that is convenient, lightweight, waterproof, durable, in a good state of repair and fit for purpose. This project is vital for the safety and morale of our friends, ensuring they are equipped and ready to face their mission. All gear is handed freely without any charge as donation How we do it From start we were 100% volunteer based: youth, elderly and from less abled from disadvantaged backgrounds, and would otherwise feel isolated and unable to contribute to the war effort. The Workshop has created a community hub with a warm environment where volunteers can upskill and have a place to come where they feel cared for and part of a family. What we need To create sustainability and plan, we urgently need your help to cover the cost of grade materials, overheads, rent and equipment. We must ensure that our teams are equipped, prepared and ready and above all, know that we care about them.
