Hello,
My name is Ori Rozmarin Berlad. I am 18 years old, from Tel Aviv, and a member of the elite squad of the Israeli Archery Team. I started in the sport at the age of 12, at a club in Givatayim. My friends couldn’t understand why I traveled for an hour each way by bus, several times a week, for a two-hour training session, but there was no way to explain it. I went through a natural and gradual process, from a hobbyist archer to a competitive one, then to the national team, and an international competitor. After returning to Israel from my first international competition abroad, the European Youth Cup in Slovenia, I realized that my plans for a year of service and army would need to be set aside because the feeling of winning is one of the best there is.
This year, with my promotion from the cadet category to the youth category, I won gold and bronze in team events at the European Championships (Winter and Summer), 7th place at the Winter Championship, National Champion for Youth and 4th place in the Senior Championship.
For the 2025 season, I have two goals:
1. To become a leading European youth archer, with multiple medals from the circuit.
2. To compete in senior competitions and see what level I can bring there.
In order to make this happen, I need your help. We are managed by a small federation with no resources to fund our travel to competitions abroad, so the burden falls on me and my family. As I approach the beginning of my third year as an international competitor, we cannot continue like this forever. I hope that my achievements this year will get me into the Olympic Committee’s squad and that I will receive their support so I won’t have to rely on donations. Until then, I will continue to train to reach the highest level.
I ask for your help—the road to the World Championship in Canada is long, but with your support, I can make it.
Am Yisrael Chai.
