Roy Dror - The Israeli Archery Association: A Journey of Excellence

Who am I? My name is Roy Dror, I’m 20 years old and I’ve represented Israel at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. I started practicing archery when I was 14 years old and with hard work and good coaching by Richard Priestman, one of the leading archery coaches in the world I achieved accomplishments I’m proud of. My achievements My biggest achievement is representing Israel at the Olympic Games in Paris 2024. I also won an Indoor world series title, a European grand prix, and I am European Under 21 champion for both outdoor and indoor. I matched the world Under 21 indoor record and broke the European Under 21 team outdoor record. I’m currently ranked 18 in the world and have 11 international medals 9 of which are gold 🥇. My goals My goal is to win an Olympic medal at LA2028. My target competitions for this year are the world and youth championships. To get there at peak performance and shape, I need to compete in several world and european preparatory competitions and get into the “big boys league” How can you help? My full competition program’s cost, including the world championships, world cups, grand prix competitions and increasing security costs, is estimated at around 17,000$. Due to budget cuts in the ministry of Sports and the Israel Archery federation, I’m asking for your help! Your donation will go directly into supporting this program and helping me represent Israel at international competitions on the biggest stages in the world, gain experience and become better and ready for LA2028.
