Harel Mor - The Israeli Archery Association: A Journey of Excellence

Hi 🙋‍♂, I’m Harel Mor, 16 years old, from Even Yehuda. I’m proud to say that I am an archer on the Israeli national team and train at the Excellence in Sports Academy at the Wingate Institute. In addition, I am a 4-time Israeli champion in different age categories. I’ve been involved in the sport from a very young age, and even back then, I saw myself competing and raising the flag of my country as high as possible on the most prestigious stages in the world, like the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics, for example. Since then, and even today, I still see that vision, with the same fire in my eyes and the same hunger to bring pride to my country. With the outbreak of the war, this passion has only intensified. What I want most in the world right now is to play the national anthem as much as possible in as many places around the world and in order to achieve this goal, I need to go to as many international competitions as possible so I can grow into my full potential. I am truly working as hard and as smart as I can to reach this goal, and I am confident that I have what it takes to achieve it—big time. Now, the Israeli Archery Federation is a very small organization, and archery is considered a relatively expensive sport. Recently, my teammates and I have encountered difficulties in financing all the flights for competitions we need to attend in order to continue on our professional path without compromises. For example, this year we won’t be flying to the World Cup in Madrid due to the high cost of the competition. This is where you come in. We would be extremely grateful for any help you can offer in order for us to attend as many competitions as possible and play Ha’tikva to as many ears as we can.
