Strengthening the Commando Reserve Fighters - Honoring and Commemorating the Memory of the Late Major Amishar Ben David

Ends: 21:30

Donors: 36

This is a story about a group of fighters, brothers in arms, who left everything on the morning of October 7th and were among the first to arrive in the settlements of the Gaza Strip and Kfar Aza and have been fighting bravely in all sectors ever since. A story of courage, sacrifice, loss and the heroism of the fighters – this is a story about the wives who hold the house. This is not only the story of the fall of Major Amishar Ben David, it is, in as nut shell, the story of being Israeli. "It's true that everyone here looks ordinary, but we are a people of superheroes. In each of us there is always a soldier hiding ready to save the world." In the past year , the March 2001 team of the Magellan unit, the fighters of the Commando Division, Brothers in arms for over two decades, fought shoulder to shoulder on all fronts - Gaza, Lebanon, Syria and Judea and Samaria. Most of them are still recruited, carrying on their shoulders the heavy responsibility of defending the country, after months of intense fighting and unimaginable moments. The late Amishar Ben David - Commander, Fighter, Friend Amishar served as the commander of the Commando Division and a Magellan fighter. He led us with exceptional dedication, courage and professionalism. As a commander of the Commando Division, he navigated complex combat conditions, planned and executed critical missions, and cared for his subordinates above all else. He was not only a commander – but also a father figure, an educator and a leader, who transformed the team into one cohesive and strong unit. A man with a strong inner compass. Strengthening the fighters, honoring their spouses and giving them a break from fighting We, the comrades-in-arms of the late Amishar, together with the Jewish communities in Budapest, are working to honor his memory and strengthen the fighters and their spouses. We invite you to help us hold a unique weekend dedicated to Amishar's story, and to the heroism of the women who were partners in the struggle in a different way – at home, on the civilian front. A weekend in Budapest – appreciation, remembrance and community connection The fighters and their spouses will attend a significant event that will connect the experiences of battle with the Jewish community overseas. The weekend will include meetings with the Jewish community, discussions with youth, lectures and testimonies from the fighting, and empowerment for the wives of the fighters and Amishar's family. This is a rare opportunity to hear firsthand the stories of those who maintained the security of the country for many months. To hold the event, we need your support. Project cost: €22,000, which includes flights, full accommodation, community meetings and shared experiential activities. Your donation will allow us to express the appreciation that the fighters and their families deserve for their enormous sacrifice, and to commemorate the late Amishar Ben David a year after he fell in battle in Gaza. Help us make it happen ➡️ Join us and donate now through the association – Together we will strengthen, cherish and remember. March 2001 Team, Magellan Unit
