"The Lotus way" initiative was born out of the need to assist veterans who are struggling with mental distress following the "Iron Swords" war and are traveling in India.
As is known, due to the events of October 7th and the "Iron Swords" war, Israeli soldiers experienced intense combat and witnessed horrific sights. Thousands of them are dealing with emotional responses and PTSD symptoms, and after completing their service, they travel to India and other Eastern countries to seeking peace of mind and respite from the traumatic realities and war-related sounds they left behind in Israel.
How can we help our soldiers?
Our vision is to offer rehabilitative workshops at agricultural farms in India, integrating agricultural work, group therapy, and traditional Indian practices such as yoga and meditation. This combination aims to strengthen mental resilience while fostering inner peace, balance, and a deep connection to nature. Research shows that therapeutic approaches incorporating agricultural work, open-air settings, and proximity to land and animals significantly improve mental health.
In this time of crisis, it is crucial to provide mental assistance to veterans during their trip in India, as studies have shown that early treatment for those exposed to traumatic events is more effective.
What will your contribution allow?
With your support, we can provide our soldiers with the opportunity to participate in these transformative workshops, designed to build their mental resilience during their travels in India and aid in their recovery. Your donation will empower veterans facing mental challenges to heal, emerge stronger, paving the way for a brighter future for both them and the State of Israel.
