Continuing the Light in Sarita’s Torah Scroll
By Bnei Akiva Youth Movement
With a Radiant Heart and a Courageous Spirit, We Write a Torah Scroll in Memory of Sarita
Donors: 8
Sarah “Sarita” Mendelson was a woman wholly devoted to life and creativity—
a pillar of strength for all of us: her family, friends, community, and the Bnei Akiva movement.
With Sarita, we always encountered a unique “light”—in her warm presence and radiant countenance, in her genuine care for every person, in her love of the Land of Israel, her concern for others, and her tireless efforts toward the unity of the Jewish people.
On the 15th of Elul (September 8, 2025), while Sarita was on her way to her work at Bnei Akiva, despicable terrorists sought to extinguish her light.
Our beloved Sarita was taken from us in immense pain, yet we—her friends and all who cherish her memory—continue to spread her path and her light.
After hundreds of initiatives and acts carried out in her memory, we now seek to kindle that light anew through the letters of a Torah scroll written in her honor.
We would be deeply honored by your partnership in the writing of the Torah scroll, in memory and in light of Sharita.
