Every 3 minutes a child in Israel is admitted to the ER due to a preventable accident. 200,000 children a year! This is unacceptable! During summer we witness an increase of 26% in children mortality due to accidents in general and 50% due to drowning. We have therefore decided this is the time to launch a special campaign to support the effort to save children's lives. Children are injured at home, on the road, in schools and in public spaces. An average of 116 children die each year. They are victims of drowning, falls, burns, poisoning, chocking, being forgotten in vehicles and other preventable accidents. Beterem - Safe Kids Israel spreads knowledge, trains, researches, initiates and promotes legislation with a sole goal - saving children's lives. Our experience proves - parent's awareness to dangers prevents accidents. We aim to reach every household in the country in order to prevent the next accident. So that we may continue to work towards our goal, for the first time we are launching a crowdfunding campaign aimed at raising funds from the public, for the public. The campaign's success will enable us to continue our important activities - providing information, training, program initiation and legislation. Our actions save lives! We have so far decreased child mortality from accidents by 53%. Help us continue saving children.
