celebrating 30 years and enabling the next 30 years, because “the timid does not learn”. 30 years have passed since a group of young Jerusalemites founded Elul in 1989, so there will be a place where secular, traditional and religious Jews can meet, learn together about their Jewish culture, renewing it and being renewed by it. We have succeeded in organizing thousands of cultural events, study groups nationwide, musical concerts and theater productions all inspired by our culture’s texts. We expanded our activity to teenagers, college students, Olim, young children and families. We were so lucky to merit the love and support of large audiences, as well as the support of major foundations that believe that Israelis should deepen their knowledge and understanding of their culture and of each other. An entire movement of Jewish revival came into being thanks to Elul’s activity and this movement is attempting to change the face of Israeli society. We have much work ahead of us. We see each and evey one of you as a partner and ambassador. We call upon each of you as alumni, partners, and all of those who believe in Elul’s way - in celebration of Elul’s 30th anniversary, and since we know that “the timid does not learn” - Please make a donation to Elul, and spread the word!
