The first issue of Mashiv HaRuach came out in 1994, inspiring a wave of creativity in Hebrew poetry, especially in the field of religious literature. Since its inception, Mashiv HaRuach has aimed to encourage Jewish renewal and develop a new creative language, helping to launch and foster many influential artists through the journal and the events we held. Some eighty volumes of the journal have since been published, as well as anthologies and books. Hundreds of events were produced, including the annual Poetry Love Fest (established 1997). Dozens of writing communities and poetry workshops have taken place throughout the country, and sixteen classes have graduated from Mizmor – a poetry training program for up and coming poets.

- Writing communities for special populations, Holocaust survivors, and others;
- A greenhouse for poets that will support them at every stage – from publishing their first book, through writing and inspiration workshops and professional training classes.
