Friends of "M" -PTSD Victim

Soldier “M” joined the IDF in order to protect our country and was wounded – now it’s our turn to raise funds to assist him and his family! “M” is a resident of Gush Etzion, whose whole live was dedicated to giving back to the community through acts of kindness. Now he needs our help. In the years following his service in the Second Lebanon War, “M” experienced symptoms of PTSD, but he managed to live with them. However, this past year the pain became unbearable and he could no longer function. His wife temporarily left her job to devote her time to caring for him and their five young children, with their oldest just 10-years-old. Since it is now clear that “M” is battling severe PTSD, he has started undergoing professional treatment outside the home. The treatment is expected to continue for at least a year. As a result the family is in desperate need of assistance to help cover not only the costs of the medical treatment but their daily household expenses, and expenses for their children. Since the Ministry of Defense has not yet approved financial coverage of “M’s” treatment the burden to cover the costs remains on the family. The total cost of treatment, and the families other expenses comes to 200,000nis for the next six months.
