StandWithUs Fellowship Projects 2021

StandWithUs Israel believes that realizing the potential of Israeli young people for leadership and public diplomacy is of unparalleled value. Therefore, 15 years ago, the StandWithUs Fellowship program was established, which operates on six campuses across the country. The students participating in the program come from all social backgrounds, from all fields of study, and from across the political spectrum. What drives them are the values of Zionism, the love of the land, and a genuine desire to work for the State of Israel in the local and international arena. The highlight of the program is the annual project, created by the students. On each campus, students are given the opportunity to express their personal interpretation of Israel’s story, for different audiences around the world. The annual project not only enables program participants to enrich their knowledge, but also to have a real-world impact on Israel education and Israel's image in the world, and gain hands-on entrepreneurship and innovation experience - alongside recruitment, budget management, logistical planning, project management, and more. About the Project: Bar Ilan University – “Peace of Bread” - A virtual challenge on a dedicated Instagram page - the Bread Challenge - where media influencers from the member countries of the Abraham Accords will prepare bread according to a unique recipe that will be sent to them from Israel and will challenge others to make bread according to their recipe. IDC – “TikTok With Us” - A project that will promote SWU’s TikTok by creating videos under 3 categories – extreme sports, Israel advocacy, and multi-culturalism. All of the videos will be our original content and will include TikTok challenges that will engage the watchers and create exposure. Ben Gurion University – “Know Your Neighbor” - A series of meetups between Israeli and Emirati students in which the students will get to know each other on a personal level and will learn about one another’s country and culture. The goal is to build partnerships and relationships and ultimately peace between the different sides beyond just normalization. Hebrew University – ISRAKIT - A training conference for a group of students who go on exchange programs in different countries around the world, in order to equip them with a "tool kit" that will help them deal with questions, challenges, and education about Israel while they are abroad. Tel Aviv University – “Welcome To Israel” - Creating a digital platform that will allow every tourist visiting Israel to receive credible and relevant information regarding his or her stay in Israel. Technion and Haifa University – “Innovnation” - A series of 1-minute videos presenting the successes of Israeli people and businesses in various fields, with and despite the coronavirus pandemic.
