Pelech - Coming Together Again

Be part of building the first synagogue for women! For more than 50 years Pelech has been synonymous with Jewish-Zionist broad education and female empowerment. We started out as a small gathering in a crowded attic in the Baka neighborhood of Jerusalem, and today we are preparing to assemble together in a big, new, beautiful Auditorium and synagogue, in our newly renovated and expanded building, which is being finished as we speak. In order to fulfill our dream and complete the building project, we need you. The great traditions of Pelech over the years have always taken place in the auditorium- the weekly assembly, davening and reading the Torah, gatherings, the Yiddish play, Tanach and Art evening, etc. These traditions convey Pelech's educational outlook- intellectual curiosity, active social engagement, feminism, and commitment to halachic Judaism. Right now we are completing the building of a new, expansive auditorium, which is being planned to double as the school synagogue. The new auditorium is the centerpiece of our expansion and renovation project. Thanks to you, Pelech students will be able to daven and learn in expansive, innovative spaces which will allow for the broadening of the mind and the soul. Thank you very much, from Pelech Jerusalem
