Makom Meshutaf

Initiated and directed by Rabbi Shalom Hammer, Makom Meshutaf (Unified Place) encourages breaking stigmas, breaking barriers and open dialogue within Israeli society, and the Israeli army particularly, regarding mental health and compassion to others: 1. Makom Meshutaf offers non-coercive Jewish educational programming throughout Israel’s Pre-Military Academies and Kibbutzim. 2. Makom Meshutaf's presentations include special lectures and courses on mental health awareness and suicide prevention. Through these educational experiences, Makom Meshutaf unifies divisions within Israeli society and promotes cooperation, understanding and empathy that can save lives. Makom Meshutaf is under the auspices of the World Mizrachi organization. All programs are in memory of Gila Hammer z”l who died from suicide December 5th 2019.
