Omicron Challenges

By Beit Uri

80 residents and staff test positive

Ends: 22:00

Donors: 56

Close to 60 of Beit Uri’s 118 residents were diagnosed with Omicron during the past week and over 20 staff members. Amongst the 9 residential buildings entire houses are currently in quarantine with dwindling staff to care for them. So many comparisons for today’s challenges match the miraculous parting of the red sea in this week’s torah reading. Moments of despair conquered, fear of being swept away overcome, a bleak prognosis leads to a miraculous outcome… Activities spearheaded by healthy staff, volunteers and enthusiastic youngsters doing their national service in Beit Uri are struggling to fill the days with music, sport and therapeutic activities. According to Director, Efrat Chorin “I have witnessed magical moments through this crisis – mobilization, volunteerism, team work and total dedication of staff. I am sure that we too will witness the ‘parting of the sea’ and be led to the path of good health and calm…. “ Any support during this rough patch is appreciated !
