Shemesh Association

The Shemesh association works for at-risk youth, promotes excellence and personal empowerment, and responds to various basic needs such as clothing, adequate social space, leisure activities, and more. The Shemesh association was established in May 2015 in the name of the late Ohad Shemesh who was killed in the battle in Khan Yunis during the "Tzuk Eitan" war on July 21, 2014. Ohad dedicated his life to giving to others, through social volunteering and in his military service. The association continues and perpetuates Ohad's spirit and path, relying on the values ​​he believed in, while taking his vision under consideration. The association's activities are based on the volunteerism of friends, family, special military and civilian units and voluntary frameworks of which Ohad was a part of. The association is funded by donations from private individuals and public bodies alike. The donated funds and equipment are invested and given directly to boys and girls in various risk situations.
