Run for Bat Melech

My dear friends! I want to share with you my plans for the next few weeks. A couple of years ago I had the opportunity to perform at a shelter for battered women. It was a playback theatre. Members of the audience told their stories and watched the actors or actresses acting them out. At that performance, I was exposed to wild stories of women whose only desire was to live in peace. Since then, I’ve performed in several other places, but that show has remained engraved in my mind. After a four-year break, I’ve decided to run in the marathon again this year, and I decided that if I'm already running again, I’d like to combine it with running for a good cause. I decided to try - with your help – to raise money for Bat Melech, an organization which helps women in need of support due to domestic violence. I know that the marathon is coming right up (on March 25, 2022). Therefore, I'd like to ask you to join me and donate. This can be done as a donation to commemorate the Zecher le' Machatzit HaShekel , or as Matanot l'Evyonim (gifts to the poor), as Purim is almost upon us. May I ask you to please share my request so more people will know about the Bat Melech organization, and perhaps they will donate as well. Thank you so much for reading this. I wish all of us a Happy Adar, and may we have the opportunity to make others happy too! And may we all merit that everything be turned around for the good. Simply, speedily and with abundant mercy.
