Shlomo Samuels - Champions Run with Shalva!

For the 1st time, Shalva, will take part in the New York Marathon this coming November. As I approach my 40th birthday I decided to take on my own personal challenge to help the thousands of families that are supported every day by Shalva, as a direct result of my parents’ tireless efforts over the past thirty years. It won’t be easy, over the past years I have had to undergo numerous surgeries to correct a problem in my right leg that meant I couldn’t walk properly, let alone run! However today I am able to run and while this distance will be a huge challenge for me, I know that each step will benefit the children and families who so bravely face their challenges each and every day. I will be running for the incredible children of Shalva who so bravely face their challenges daily. I will be running for my beloved big brother, Yossi, who despite being blind, deaf and confined to a wheelchair, finds a way to connect to everyone he meets, enjoys life and inspires so many. I will be running in honor of my amazing parents, who faced the challenge of raising all of us and with their vision and actions, truly changed the world. I would be so grateful if you would join me in my efforts to complete this marathon and raise 40,000 NIS to help Shalva continue delivering the world class programs, we know make all the difference to the children and families Shalva serves.
