Continuing on Ori’s path!

In a beautiful location above Nahal Heletz, in between terrace agriculture and orchards, Lior and Racheli Tal established an agricultural farm in memory of Ori Ansbacher, HY”D, a young Jewish woman murdered a few miles away from that spot. Ori’s inspirational being guides the activities on the farm and shows us all the way forward. It was only natural that many youth – teenage boys, arrived at the farm in order to recharge their bodies, minds, and souls after Ori was murdered and to find a path towards regaining their strength in order to return to their families. With the growth of the farm, the advancement and opportunities for youth has become a major undertaking that paves the way for the activities on the farm and requires special resources and attention. After the initial establishment of the farm with the help and motivation of the people of Israel, we are promoting a special project - the advancement of youth at the farm as a direct continuation of Ori’s path. The boys have become an integral part of the farm's activities: they partake in the manual labor which assists in the development of the farm along with construction, agriculture, taking animals out to pasture, feeding the animals, repair work, and more. Along the way these dedicated youngsters are developing a solid work ethic, and building self-confidence as their personalities develop. At the same time, Racheli and Lior are putting a lot of effort into helping shape these youth, and have a lot of faith in their abilities to contribute on the farm. The young men are committed to observing clear guidelines in order to work on the farm, including making a commitment to maintain their school work, study for their matriculation exams, and participate in social activities including trips, regularly scheduled classes, special Rosh Chodesh programming, and more. In collaboration with the Gush Etzion Foundation and with the support of the head of the Gush Etzion Regional Council, we’ve launched a crowd sourcing campaign in order to advance the activities of the youth, to renovate and expand their living quarters, improve their living conditions, and provide them with a framework for support, along with providing courses, training, and close professional care. We look forward to your support in making a meaningful contribution to this important program. Thank you!
