Lizzie Kruger- Memorial Music Campaign

Lizzie Kruger z”l lived a life full of music, love and kindness. Through her music, guitar and song, she inspired and comforted children of all ages. Life for her daughter Shoshi benefits from the never-ending sounds of music that fill her days at Beit Uri – a residential village in Afula, Israel for all ages with disabilities. Instead of TVs in Beit Uri – pianos are played in each house and there is music therapy for all the residents throughout the week. The introduction of large instruments has produced rewarding results, enabling residents not only to hear harmonious tones, but also feel vibrations through their body movements. This approach to music is not just an acoustic exercise but a holistic physical experience where the intricacies of tone, interval and rhythm provide invaluable stimulation.
