Shana Tova at Earth's Promise

Rosh Hashana is here, the Shmita year is over, and we invite you to contribute to the flourishing of the Negev! Five years ago we came to an abandoned space in the heart of the old city of Be'er Sheva with the vision of growing fresh food in the city. Since then our farm has developed into an oasis in the middle of the city full of vegetable beds, fruit trees and buzzing bees. During this time, the community of the farm has evolved into a thriving and diverse mix of people from all over Be'er Sheva and the area. At the farm you can find pensioners planting tomatoes with college students, parents getting the opportunity to show their kids how vegetables really come to the world, not from the supermarket but from the ground, and lonely neighbors coming to enjoy human interaction. It is a place for strangers to meet in a green haven in the middle of the city and forget about the stress of daily life. This year we aim to flourish more and more abandoned areas in Beer Sheva and the Negev, specificaly with marginalized communities and people with special needs.
