Liel Mechina - Raising funds to change lives

.There are over 200,000 young adults at risk in Israel, with only 50% of them enlisting in the IDF and completing full army service Many of this young people, following a complex life, found themselves in the circle of risk and when they rich the age for enlistment in the IDF they encounter difficulties and complexities with the system, when most of them are exemptions and once again remain without a framework or a place that is suitable for their needs. The way to get out and move forward from the circle of risk is not visible in their future. But sometimes all a boy needs is one place that will believe in him! We are that place. In "LIEL-MECHINA" treat and promote extreme at-risk young adults who are dropouts, have a criminal record and a history of drug and/or alcohol abuse. For them this is the last stop that gives them a real opportunity to change. In the preparatory year, they go through a long process whose goal is to cancel exemption from the army, to prepare them for significant service in the IDF and above all, to give them tools for an independent life and their integration as good citizens and contributors to Israeli society. The Mechina is a commemorative project in memory of the Sgt. Liel Gideoni and was established by his teammate -Bezalel Viberman. Thanks to the great faith of the Mechina-Liel's staff, over a hundred boys have succeeded against all odds in changing the course of their lives.
