We would like to tell you about 15 year old Yihyeh Msalma who has been undergoing dialysis for the last 10 years. He lives in the Palestinian Authority and is treated in Sha'arei Tzedek Medical Center. Yihyeh comes from an underprivileged family, and on top of what he is going through, his mother is being treated at the hospital for cancer. Up until now he didn't have a chance of getting a kidney donation since he isn't on the national list of transplants. With G-d's help we managed to find for him a Jewish donor who is prepared to enter an operating room to donate a kidney, something which cannot be taken for granted in these times: donating an organ from one's body and donating it to a complete stranger from a different sector. She is prepared to do this and has passed all the tests. The transplant needs to be done at the Schneider Children's Medical Center since it is a very complex procedure and they are the only center in Israel, and in the world over who are experts at this type of transplant. It is a complicated crossover transplant that is being done in cooperation with a Czech hospital and physicians from around the world are cooperating to make this a success. The cost of the procedure is 300000NIS5. The PA is not willing to fund the transplant. It is important to understand: this is Yihyeh's last chance to get a kidney transplant, and actually to live. This is a one-time opportunity. If he doesn't get the kidney, he won't survive additional dialysis. Help save a life. There is no greater Mitzvah. The matter is time sensitive!
