Ma'alot-Tarshiha's Music Center

The Ma'alot-Tarshiha Music Center (MTMC) is an inspiring and transformative art school that brings together children and teenagers from diverse backgrounds to sing and play musical instruments in a professional and family-like atmosphere. Founded 18 years ago, the center is located in the city of Ma'alot-Tarshiha, 10km from the Israel-Lebanon border and provides high-quality music education for children from northern peripheral areas. Over 250 students from various villages across Israel's northern border, including religious and secular, new immigrants, and long-time Israelis, Druze, Muslims, Christians, and Jews, attend the center. They learn to play a wide range of instruments, including strings, harp, piano, brass instruments, flute, drums, guitar, and more. The center also has several ensembles, including an orchestra of 25 students that performs across Israel. The MTMC Friends Club was recently established by Charles and Janine Pulman from Dallas, Texas with the goal of sharing the beautiful, cultural, and diverse "everyday" Israeli story with Jewish and non-Jewish communities in the USA and around the world. By joining the MTMC Friends Club, you can be a part of something truly special and make a difference in the lives of children from low socio-economic backgrounds. Your support will enable them to participate in orchestras and ensembles, and to experience the joy of music and the sense of belonging that it brings. Imagine being a part of a community that brings people together through music, regardless of their background. Join us today and be a part of this inspiring and transformative journey.
