Dreaming & fighting for a better future

The Community Anchor was founded in Beer Sheva in 2006, and is run by Yachdav, a non-profit organization. From its inception the Anchor has given at-risk youth a genuine opportunity to build better lives than those their circumstances have thus far allowed. The Anchor runs four programs which offer a variety of options: Housing – offered 24/7 to youth in emergency crisis situations Teens’ Club – an educational/therapeutic framework for youths whose families are dependent on social welfare programs, which offers an alternative to removing those young people from their homes Boarding School – a live-in therapeutic and all-embracing framework for youths who live outside their family homes The Teens-Parents Centre – which offers therapy to at-risk adolescents and their parents. Thanks to professional expertise and endless investment of time and effort we have succeeded in changing the future for at-risk youth to a future of hope! This is Community Anchors first-ever crowd-funding campaign! We have decided to open this campaign in order to assure each and every at-risk young person in the south of Israel a place where we will not give up on them, regardless of the Anchor’s lack of funds, since we are aware of the need to expand our treatment options and the skills sets which we can provide. With the money we raise we will be able to: Assure that the programs offered by Community Anchor can continue to serve our youth in the upcoming years Launch new educational and therapeutic projects. The Community Anchor is a place to grow, an experience which can change the the lives of at-risk youths. We now appeal for your help in order to assure that our activities will continue to serve our population, and to succeed in expanding the tools and treatment which are so direly needed here in the Negev. Our programs can change the reality of these young people’s lives from one of endless challenge to one of endless possibility.
